Consignment details
The BAsics
We track our inventory with a consignment software that makes it easy to keep tabs on your items in your own special account. We call it the portal, and we’ll invite you to create your account when you agree to consign with us.
When you wait for an item to sell, rather than taking cash or trade up front, we’ll split the payout 50/50. If an item is priced over $100 you receive 60%. You’ll be notified through the portal as soon as your items are sold, so make sure to check your account.
Consignment items can start at $3 and and go all the way to $3,000, there are no rules on minimums or maximums. We’re pros at setting prices to ensure our inventory moves, but if you already have a number in mind, make sure to let us know during drop off.
Come Collect
We will not contact you when your items sell! You can keep up with the latest sales on your personal portal page, and drop by the store for payouts. We also offer the option to receive a direct deposit straight to your bank of choice.
Discount Day
After one month on the floor, we may choose to discount your items at our discretion to help move inventory. (Trust us, we know what we’re doing!) We recommend keeping up with items via your consignor portal.
Fresh, Quality Ingredients
After 60 days an item is considered ‘expired.’ If your item is priced over $100, we’ll contact you directly to pick it up. Items under $100 that are expired and haven’t sold may be donated at Artifact’s discretion, but know that you can always come pick it up before the expiration date. Side note- ‘expired’ items can still sell on the sales floor so sometimes it pays to just let it ride.

Sometimes sh*t happens. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items, and we definitely hate it just as much as you do.
How do we set our prices?
Let’s talk price tags
Our first goal is to keep stylish pieces out of the landfill, so we price our items accordingly! The joy of thrifting is to purchase a little piece of the past for far less than you would’ve found it when it originally hit stores. So, in 99% of cases, we’ll be pricing the items lower than you paid for it, in general ½ to ⅓ of retail. Some other factors we take into account: the age, condition, availability, and original price of the piece, as well as what’s currently trending and how quickly we think it will sell at that time. If you have questions about a specific item, ask us during your drop-off! We love to learn from our sellers and are always open to conversations about pricing and what we’re taking.
